CI-2009 IEQc3.2:Construction IAQ Management Plan—Before Occupancy

Is flush out possible in countries with high humidity?

Hi, we would like to know if flush out is practicable in areas where high humidity is experienced whole year, say 70-85%. Should we cancel out option 1 already and go for option 2 (IAQ testing)? If the team still opt for option 1 flush out, can you recommend strategies in maintaining the 60% or less RH? thank you

You conditions makes it more energy intensive to flush out the building. You would need to dehumidify the air before it enters the space. This is practical when you have a standard VAV air handling system but not as much when you have a dedicated outside air system.
