Why are the CI designated parking requirements in Cases 1 and & 2 Option 1 determined by a Full Time Equivalent of tenant space/building while for New Construction the requirements are simply a percentage of parking provided?

If a CI project occupies a building that has existing parking, but no designated parking to the tenant, can it pursue “no parking will be provided"?

LEED CI inside a LEED C&S certified building

We are dealing with a Commercial Interior Project, which is located inside a LEED C&S certified building. Regarding Car/Van Pool credit (SSc3.3 for LEED CI), the page 93 under 4.Implementation section mentioned: ”Projects have met the credit requirements if they locate in a LEED-certified building that has also achieved this credit.". If I understood it well, if my LEED CI project is located in a certified LEED C&S building, which has complied with SSc4.4, do I obtain this credt by default?

There was an addenda made on 02/02/2011 that took out that option: http://www.usgbc.org/leed-interpretations?keys=100000746 ID#100000746 made on 02/02/2011 Prerequisite/Credit: SSc3.3 - Alternative transportation - parking availability Reference Guide: Green Interior Design and Construction, 2009 edition Page: 93 Location: Top of page Remove the text "Projects have met the credit requirements if they locate in a LEED-certified building that has also achieved this credit."
