Daniel, The client's program might give you numbers of workstations, conference rooms, etc, but often doesn't have enough detail to calculate the full-time equivalent FTE and transient/ visitor numbers. You might need to ask them for the number of full time employees, number of part time employees (and how many hours per week they work), and an estimate of the number of visitors on a typical day. When you calculate the number of transients/ visitors to the office, you need to figure out “Peak” and “Daily average.” Daily average is the total number of visitors who walk through the door on a typical day; peak is the number of visitors at the busiest time of a typical day. Hope that helps. Post back here with more questions if you need.
