Hello, We are planning to use the WOC Diplomat Series walk-off carpet. The product specs indicate that it meets the criteria for IEQc5 because the installation is semi-permanent. We would like to know if this information is accurate. Can we utilize this walk-off carpet and still meet the criteria for IEQc5?

I don't think that the 'semi-permanent' attribute will be acceptable. USGBC lists acceptable walk off mat materials in the credit language, e.g. grills, grates. Roll-out mats must be cleaned weekly. Interpretation #10252 allows for carpet tile if it is specifically designed for walk-off areas and has performance similar to other walk-off materials.
