I have a question regarding G3.1.2.8. Per this section a return fan is required for the baseline system if there is a return fan in the proposed model. Does the exhaust fan of the proposed energy recovery ventilator mean that a return fan is required for the VAV system in the baseline?

In the case of the baseline having both exhaust and supply fans, how is the fan power calculated for each individual fan? The normal formulas assume the total "supply" air flow (including exhaust), but I guess it is applied to each fan and its airflow, right?

Appendix G does not say how to distribute the fan power so it is up to the individual modeler to do so. Your approach sounds logical.
