CI-2009 EAc1.3:Optimize Energy Performance—HVAC

Complete information on Variable Speed Control

There are no pumps or VAV fans on this project which are 5hp or greater. This could be expected if there was a central system covering the floor, but we are using lots of smaller duty units to achieve this instead. We do however have compressors on the VRF refrigerant cooling system. The larger compressors are all inverter driven. Please advise whether we need to include these in the table on Variable Speed COntrol on the online form or whether this table becomes not applicable. It would be difficult to attribute the kW capacity of a compressed refrigerant gas at 50% performance etc (unlike a water based system which has a fixed specific heat capacity etc).

We've submitted several VRF systems and have not been asked to include their compressor information. They have great performance anyway.
