Is there a guidance document/discussion available on how to treat a campus geothermal loop (servicing several buildings) that provides the working fluid to the LEED project building conditioned with heat pumps? The project does not include a campus chiller and/or boiler plant, so it does not fit into the treatment of campus thermal energy guidlines very smoothly. Can I simply scale down the size of the campus system to just meet the demand of the project building and not treat it as a campus thermal energy project?

Nothing specific that I know of. We would simply match the modeled well field to the project's demand by scaling it down as you suggest. You could offer some justification for doing so as a conservative approach which does not capture any of the benefits of the larger central well field.
