CI-2009 EAp2:Minimum Energy Performance

EA Minimum Energy Performance - Star Rated Equipment

Could an EPEAT Gold Cert equipment be considered equivalent to Energy Star qualified? Really appreciate clarification with this.

Looks like EPEAT certified products must meet Energy Star but EPEAT goes much further than just energy savings. http://www.epeat.net/learn-more/environmental-benefits/

Marcus, thanks for fast response. We are wondering if USGBC will accept then an EPEAT certification in lieu of an ES certification for electronic products? Thank You.

You don't need an ES certification to claim it. Most products indicate on the cut sheet or some product literature that they are ES. They should accept EPEAT put I would provide an explanation to the reviewer as they may not be familiar with it. I had to look it up. Seems easier to provide the ES information and avoid the whole explanation.
