Healthcare-v2009 MRc5:Furniture and medical furnishings

What exactly is a medical furnishing?

The items below are for OR's, Scub Rooms, Corridors, Storage Room. Do the following count as medical furnishings or equipment? Surgical Table, Anesthesia Cart, Equipment/Monitor Cart, Medication Dispenser Cabinet, Crash Cart, Warming Cabinet All the carts and cabinets are electronic and have medical equipment connected to them. They could be interpreted as equipment. Do you agree that they are furnishings or equipment? The items below are all wall-mounted: Clock, Paper Towel Dispenser, Glove Dispenser, Gell Dispenser, SHARP's Container Again would you consider these items medical furnishings or equipment? The other item is a Patient Transfer Board, which is used to move a patient from a stretcher to the surgical table. There is on located in each OR and they sit in a wall-mounted docking station. Again medical furnishing or equipment? Thanks. Cate

I think all your tables and carts/cabinets are medical equipment and not furniture. Same thing for the transfer board and other pieces of equipment in the OR like nurse documentation station. I don't interpret this credit as applying to the dispensers and clock items.
