Would Bottled Water count toward the sustainable food credit?

Hi Cara, These are good questions. The credit requirements are fairly strict in terms of the allowable standards for sustainable food/beverages, and Cradle-to-Cradle certified isn’t one of them. For your second question, food purchased for an event sponsored by the building is eligible, however, I’m hesitant to say its eligible when the event is located off-site (and presumably outside the LEED project boundary). My sense is that only food/beverages consumed at the building should be included in this credit. For example, if a company purchased lunch for its employees at an off-site restaurant, that food wouldn’t be eligible for inclusion in this credit. That said, if you can make a good argument for counting the purchases made for this event you may want to give it a shot.
