NC-2009 IEQp1:Minimum IAQ Performance

appendix of ieqp1 template vs 62MZcalc

Is there someone who experience any result differences between template and 62MZcalc? I put some data into 62MZcalc, then I tried to let them into template either. But, in my case, value of Ev wasn't able to be matched. So that I checked the calculation method from table 6-3 and app A of std 62.1, but it is consistent with the 62MZcalc but the template. I'm expecting your answers. Thank you.

Ean, I assume that you are using template V3.0. The problem with that template is that Table 1-1 lists Ev and Vot for zones. ASHRAE 62.1 doesn't calculate EV or Vot at the zone level only the system level. My company contacted USGBC about this in March of 2011. There is a way to work around it but it is quite intensive. Your best bet would be to request an update to Form V4.0 or to just use the 62MZ spreadsheet. I hope that helps explain what you are seeing and also what direction you should be headed in.

Andrew - I am running into this same issue. My LEED form is v3.0 and the results show that we are not passing the prereq. However, my calculations and results in the 62MZ spreadsheets show that we are passing. How can I request an update to form v4.0? Would that update be only for this prerequisite or for all credits? How long does this process take? Thank you!
