What is the correct approach when simulating pumps and fan power in the proposed case?. size the electric motors with the bhp or the next commercial motor size. I mean the if the condenser water pump has 15.3 bhp but the next available motor size is 20 hp. the pump will not use 20 hp. Thanks in advance.

The correct approach is the one which will yield the most accurate energy use results. As you point out the bhp is more accurate.
