CS-2009 EAc1:Optimize Energy Performance

partial renovation / partial expansion EAc1 points

We've learned that for projects with partial renovation and partial expansion a new points thresholds should be calculated for EAc1. Averaging the percent savings according to the percentage of the existing building that will be renovated and the expansion as a whole. Could anyone tell us where to find the rule that specifically addresses this approach?

It is a simple ration of new to existing and then applying that ratio to the percent savings. For example is a project is 50% new and 50% existing, the minimum for new is 10% and for existing is 5% so the minimum percent threshold is 7.5%. This used to be spelled out in a CIR or in the Reference Guide. For 2009 it is simply calculated automatically by the credit for for EAp2.
