Dear all,
The Contractor needs to install anti-corrosive paints / coatings for one project.
The anti-corrosive system consists of 2 products (the first being an epoxy primer and the second being a polyurethane coating).
I am assuming that, since this system is for anti-rust / anti-corrosion, both products have an upper VOC limit of 250g/L. Is this right, or should we consider the primer to have its own VOC limit (50 or 150g/L depending on whether it's flat or non-flat)?
I feel that all the components of the anti-corrosive system must be treated under the same category with a maximum allowable VOC content of 250g/L. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks..

That's right - both products should independently meet the 250 g/L requirement.

What if it is steel primer only? Then it would have to meet the 50/150?
