We are performing a review of an energy model for a project that is a major remodel of an existing space with addition of new square footage. The modeler is proposing a weighted average of the NC % savings over 90.1 and the MR % savings over 90.1 based on the balance of the square footages. Is this allowable? We have not seen this before and want to make sure the project is going down the right path before moving any farther along.

Yes you can calculate a weighted average to determine the % savings associated with each point for project which combine new and existing spaces. The LEED Credit Form automatically adjusts the percentages.
