Natural ventilation inmultilevel carpark areas

Dear Tristan I am working on a retail mall which an adjoining carpark block. the carpark block is part of the retail mall and hence within the project boundary Does using natural ventilation for this carpark considered as an energy saving strategy? Can using NV for carpark contribute to Optimise energy points i noticed that the baseline according to ashrae for 'parking garages' is a mechanically ventilated system Hope for your reply

Puteri, if you have no mechancial ventilation system in the parking garage, you should model this as the baseline also. It would be difficult fairly demonstrate the performance between a mechancial ventilation and natural ventilation scheme, without doing exhaustive CFD anaylsis.

Dear Roger, what is generally assumed to be an exhaustive CFD analysis for ASHRAE? in the case of a natural ventilated parking garage, how many different cfd pictures with different boundary conditions are generally produced? Thanks!
