Question
This credit has been reviewed and approved during preliminary design review of this project. Some other credits had not been approved but where subsequently approved during final design review. I can still appeal if I choose to; I have not accepted or rejected the final results yet of the final review. Now I come to find out that for this credit IEQc8.2 exemplary performance is easily possible for this project.
1) I have not filed this credit in this way.
2) I need to comply to 2 out of the 5 options how and where do I document this?
3) Or do I click the box and no documentation is required?
I would like to know what our options are.
Thank you,
Lee

I am a little confused by your statement, but I think I understand. If you realize that you can achieve EP for 8.2 you need to do the following:
1) Obviously achieve credit 8.2
2) There are 4 options total (not 5) in which case you have to achieve 90% or higher for 2 of the options. You can find these options on page 571 of the LEED Guide Book. These are tricky and often hard to get unless you have a small floor plate and many windows.
3) Fill out the excel spread sheet that is under the tools section for this credit. They have a tab that shows the 4 options and you fill out the 2 options that you have 90% or greater with your final percentage.
4) Attach your spreadsheet and all documentation (floor plans, sections, photos) that support those over 90% values in the upload section. If you do not have any supporting documentation consider the credit unachievable as I have had numerous times where I have had to add more documents than I originally expected was enough. The more the better!
I hope this is what you were looking for. You should know from the first 2 options if you have a chance to get the EP.

Hi Lee,
Technically project teams should check the "exemplary performance box" within the base credit form (IEQc8.2 Credit Form) to signal the intent in LEED Online to pursue this additional point under the IDc1 category.
Since it appears from your description above that IEQc8.2 has already received two rounds (Design Prelim and Design Final) of review, you probably cannot access the form again to check this box. If no changes occured to the base credit documentation, I would think that you could simply upload exemplary performance supporting documentation directly to IDc1 demonstratig that you meet the EP requirements.
Overall, I would also suggest that you contact your assigned CB (Certification Body) directly from LEED Online to ensure the best way to handle.
Hope helpful!
