We are working on a major renovation project and the restrooms have natural ventilation. Do we have to provide additional mechanical exhaust to comply with ASHRAE? Will having natural ventilation and mechanical exhaust help comply with the IEQ P1 requirements? I'll greatly appreciate any comments. Thanks!

ASHRAE 62.1 defines exhaust air as air removed from a space to the outside via mechanical or natural means.
Remember to comply with Section 5.1 when using a natural ventilation system.
Also check with local code requirements, our local code does not allow for natural ventilation of restrooms.
