There are up to four steps involved in documenting your project’s alternative commuting using an occupant commute survey:

• Step 1: Assess your current level of compliance by conducting the survey.
• Step 2: Evaluate your results. If you’re happy with them, you can stop here. If you want to improve the level of alternative commuting, go on to Step 3.
• Step 3: Implement changes to the commuting program and incentives offered to building occupants to promote increased levels of alternative transportation.
• Step 4: Reassess your new level of compliance and decide whether to document it as-is or continue to implement changes to your commuting program.
