The cost of the credit is site-specific.

This credit adopts requirements previously within the LEED v2009 Site Selection credit. LEED v4 has modified this credit, expanding allowances for some site development work which maintains or improves access to water bodies on or adjacent to the particular site’s LEED boundary.

Selection of the site serves as a basis for site design and therefore has economic synergies with all other sustainable design strategies related to site priorities. However, the cost of sustainable site selection practices is highly project-specific and is not quantifiable within the scope of this study.
