Dear all,
I’m going for the v4.1 EPD credit, (at least 20 products from 5 manufacturers). Trying to fill out the calculator for the first time. Why is it asking for materials cost? Do I have to fill this out? It is a number of materials that is asked for, not a percentage. What am I missing, why is the cost there?
Thank you!

Maria,
The mateials costs should be entered in the Materials tab in the BPD&O workbook. The EPD information goes into the EPD tab. All materials entered into the workbook require a materials cost. Your subs should be providing this as part of their LEED submittal.

Yes, but why is this relevant for number of EPD:s? For me it is extra work. In order for me to enter information in the EPD tab I first have to populate the material tab... I'm not going for the other credits in the calculator.

If you aren't using the calculator for anything else, and it's forcing you to add a cost, just put "1" in every row.
