LEEDuser guidance clearly states that the waste audit should be performed during the Performance period. The form at LEEDonline however (MRc6 v06) lists the waste stream audit and all associated supporting documentation under the Establishment section and lists "There are no Performance requirements for this credit." Can anyone provide clarification on this discrepancy? We would like to know if there is a requirement that the Waste Audit be performed during Establishment and/or before the Performance period for MRc7, 8 and 9 begin?

The performance period can begin for any credit up to two years early as long as all performance periods for the project end within no more than 30 days of each other. You can do the waste audit up to two years early for it to count for the credit.

To add to Alexis's response, the form says there's no performance requirement because the waste audit is considered a one-time event and therefore an establishment requirement, rather than a performance requirement. MRc7 is where ongoing waste diversion performance is tracked. Hope that helps!

Thanks Alexis and Trista. I suppose the larger question then is, isn't this really an establishment period task?
