The credit requirement indicates a waste stream study needs to be conducted to identify the project's top five recyclable waste streams. It then indicates based on the waste stream study, "list the top four waste streams for which collection and storage space will be provided". I am seeking clarification on whether the project can select any 4 of the total 5 waste streams to provide dedicated areas, or must the top 4 (items 1-4, but not 5) be addressed? Thank you!

Hi Fuan,
This is a great question and the first time I've encountered this. The way I read the language is that your study should be done so that it helps you to identify the top 5 waste streams; and then from those results, you can select 4 out of the 5 top streams for which storage/collection space will be provided. Does not necessarily need to be the top 4 of the 5, but any 4 out of the 5. Hope this helps, however if you go through design review and receive comments otherwise, please do report back and let us know. Additionally, if you would like to confirm prior to your submission, I'd recommend submitting the question to GBCI review team directly to get their official feedback.
