Does anyone have experience with what documentation is actually needed to ensure that a Waste-to-Energy plant can be used? Is a letter from the Plantowner ensuring that the plant meets the requirements enough?:
"Teams must follow European Commission Waste Framework and Incineration Directives and the waste-to-energy facility must meet the applicable European standards based on fuel type."

Lise - I'm hoping someone with experience with Waste-to-Energy can answer this for you as I don't have direct experience with it; however, I would say that whatever documentation you provide should indicate compliance with two European Commission Directives and all the applicable European standards. In fact the credit form reads: "For waste diverted to a waste-to-energy facility, provide documentation that the facility follows the European Commission Waste Framework Directive 2008/98/EC and Waste Incineration Directive 2000/76/EC and meets the applicable European Committee for Standardization (CEN) EN 303 standards."
And I hope you've seen in the Reference Guide that you "must demonstrate that reuse and recycling strategies were exhausted before sending waste material to energy facilities." The credit form has a text box for your explanation.
