Hi,
can i use below washing and dryer machine specs as energy star rated.
Washing machine:
Rated Capacity 9 kg
Energy efficiency class - A+++ (most efficient) to D (least efficient) : A+++
Annual energy consumption (AEC)2 kWh/year: 109
Weighted annual water consumption (AWc)3 Litres/year: 11,000
Dryer:
Rated Capacity 9 kg
Energy efficiency class - A+++ (most efficient) to D (least efficient) : A+++
Annual energy consumption (AEC)2 kWh/year: 174
While searching machines on the energy star website, we found that the units are available in cu feet but client has a requirements in terms of kg, is there any conversion rate for washing machine from cubic feet to the kg.
Energy Star ask the compliance in terms of IWF and MEF but the it does not mentioned any unit/demo to calculate these values like capacity in what(kw/kg/cc) and many of the suppllier dont mentione the wash cycle, etc.

One is weight and the other is volume so I am not aware of a direct conversion rate. A quick serach on the subject produced these two links - https://learn.compactappliance.com/laundry-buyers-guide/ and https://www.bestbuy.com/site/questions/lg-4-5-cu-ft-8-cycle-high-efficiency-top-loading-washer-white/9667333/question/4165828b-022c-3158-90e5-c78448fe40b7
Hope that helps.

Thanks marcus for your reply. I will check it again but with change in maf with the same capcity(in kg/volume) the power and water consumption varies.

Is above mentioned dryer and washer is complying with Energy star requirements..??

Sounds like you want to better understand the criteria used for the Energy Star rating. Does this help?
