Hi all,
I'm currently working in a project of shopping mall (common areas + tenant areas) pursuing LEED certification (Core&Shell). The common areas are open-air, so unless some administrative and technical areas, there aren't enclosed common areas.
Given this, and considering compliance with ASHRAE 90.1-2010 section 5.4.3.4, the vestibule requirement is also applicable to tenant spaces (that in this case have doors directly to the exterior) in a project such as this?
Thanks in advance,

Do any of the exceptions apply?

Since its in climate zone 3, only some of of the tenant areas are exempt (the ones with less than 930 m2).
However, I'm not sure if tenant areas are in the scope of this requirement. Can you confirm?

If there is a entrance to the building from the outside and none of the exceptions apply they are required to install a vestibule as this is a mandatory provision.
