The V4 requirement is for a LEED AP Homes to be on the project team. That team member, however, cannot be part of the verification team.
This credit is so much more difficult to achieve for multifamily projects than for other BDC projects. Not only are there very few LEED AP Homes professionals, but those that are tend to be in the field of verification.
Other BDC rating systems allow the LEED AP on the project team to earn the point. IDC projects now allow for LEED BDC APs to gain the point with a v4.1 substitution.
There needs to be a V4.1 substitution so that this point is equally achievable for Multifamily projects.
