We are performing an extensive remodel and rehabilitation of an existing historic building. In order to meet the 75% credit threshold, I am trying to use the windows into the stairwell, which acts as a lightwell/atrium, towards compliance for the auditorium. I am using view type 3 and 4, since a stage and wall is blocking the windows to the west. My question is how do you interpret " atriums may now account for up to 30% of the required area with access to quality views"? Does this mean views INTO atriums with natural light (from 3 skylights in this situation) can comply? I am new to LEEDUser so thanks for any insight.
