Dear All,
In what refers to uplight requirements – Option 2 (calculation method) implies limits to the percentage of total lumens emitted above horizontal.
The question is: can we account for architectural and/or landscape obstructions (external to the luminaires) in the calculation of this percentage ? For example, canopies and other building elements obstructing uplight, ever green vegetation, etc..
Thanks in advance

Permanent architectural obstructions can be considered as blocking uplight. The hard part is making a calculation to explain what amount of lumens are blocked. IES files are based on cone shapes, obstructions tend to be rectangular.
Landscape (plants, vegetation, etc.) obstructions are not considered. Plants and leaves are not considered permanent.
