Hi everyone. We have a LEEDv3 building that has suffered many updates in the past years. One of these changes refers to alternative energy sources: we are installing solar panels on the roof. The initial energy model sent in the design phase didn't consider the solar panels. Now that we are entering the Construction Phase Review, do you know if we would have to send another energy model updated with the solar panels? And if so, does this mean we would have to pay for an appeal? Since the credit has already been awarded in the design phase.

Assuming you would be submitting for the Renewable Energy credit in the construction review, I think they would just add the renewable energy to the Optimize Energy Performance credit without having to submit a formal appeal. You should update the documentation for the Optimize Energy Performance credit to include the renewable energy contribution and make sure to let the reviewer know that you have done so.
