I am working on a LEED project with revolving doors at the building entrances. The project has a proposed glazing specification. The Client wants clear glass in the revolving doors which however will not be able to meet the proposed glass specifications. Do we have any exceptions for entrance vestibules in ASHRAE 90.1.
Is it fine if we neglect the thermal compliance of revolving doors?

While I do not see an elicit reference or exception I think you can ignore the glazing requirements for a revolving door. FIrst of all it makes no sense to use double pane glazing in that kind of application as the glass need to be much more heavy duty. Also the idea behind a revolving door is that at all times there are two layers of glazing between inside and outside which would provide similar thermal performance as a window.
