CI-2009 PIf5:Previously LEED Certified Details

Tenant with LEED ID&C Certification is moving spaces in building

If a tenant moves spaces within the same building, but would like to maintain their LEED ID&C certification, does anything transfer over to certify their new space?

Some may transfer to the new tenant space such as the Sustainable Sites credits (e.g. Site Selection, located within a LEED building), and base building plumbing fixtures if the tenant has access. Unfortunately, the original certification is no longer valid and the new space must start the LEED certification process from the beginning. The good news is that you should have a pretty good plan to achieve LEED certification based on the previous certification IF you are able to pursue the same version of LEED. Good Luck!
