Good morning,
Would like to clarify if subtraction metering may be used in Core & Shell for the base building, although it can be used for New Construction, when it comes to RATING SYSTEM VARIATIONS - Core and Shell it says "Advanced energy metering must be installed for all energy sources used by the base building.."
Could you confirm to me that substraction metering may be used in Core and Shell?
Thanks a lot.

Not sure how that works when you are required to meter energy sources, not energy uses. What are you subtracting? I suppose if you had a 10 story building and a whole building meter you could get away with only metering 9 floors and deriving the other but you would not meet the requirement to have one meter per floor then.
The difference between NC and CS is the requirement to submeter end uses in addition to sources in NC. In CS it is only sources. Subtraction works well for end uses sometimes.
