Hi, we have a building that share some mechanical equipment with the adjacent building. We have a meter that measures the electricity of our building but the water tower consumption is included in the reading. We would like to subtract the water tower consumption from the main building consumption. Can we only use the data registered form the water tower drives or we absolutely need a sub-meter?
Thank you very much,

I'm not totally clear on the specifics of your situation but if you want to exclude energy use that is included on your project's main building meter but serves another building, that energy use must be directly metered. If this is the situation for the water tower, estimating energy use based on typical operations of the water tower drives wouldn't be an acceptable approach.
