NC-v4 MRc3:Building product disclosure and optimization - sourcing of raw materials

Strucure and Enclosure Materials may not constitute more than 30% of the compliant building products

Reference Guide correction 100002183 allows this 30% to be adjusted based on the percent value of structure/enclosure materials compared to total material costs. Actual cost must be used. https://www.usgbc.org/leedaddenda/100002183

Word on the GBCI street is that they will not be enforcing maximum limits on structure and enclosure materials.

1. Does anyone know of a revised BPDO Calculator that accounts for this alternate allownace per ID#Structure & Enclosure Cap?  V6.0 still applies the 0.3 factor on structure and enclosure materials and it doesn't change if you use Actual Materials Cost rather than Default Materials Cost. 2. What is the acceptable means of pursuing an increased percentage of structure and enclosure materials when it comes to submitting for certification?

Adam -  You might want to consider pursuing the LEED v4.1 beta credit in lieu of the v4.0 credit. It is substantially the same, elminates the structure/enclosure limitation, and offers two thresholds (20% for 1 point, 40% for 2 points).  LEED has a new calculator for the BPDO v4.1 credits.
