We got our LEED comments back and one of our comments was "The narrative on the LEED form outlines that source contaminants may enter the building because they are stored elsewhere on site. It does not appear that a materials-handling plan to reduce the likelihood of contaminant release is developed and implemented in order to minimize the possibility of exposure."
We have an on site greenhouse and pesticide/fertilizer mixing area, and I am assuming they are referencing this. Does anyone have experience with providing a materials-handling plan?
Thanks!

I hadn't had such experience, but I believe that common sence plan of avoiding contamination form this source, like "rules of working at the pesticide/fertilizer mixing area" contains requirement of wearing suitable clothes, that must be stripped off when one is leaving this zone, cleaning the boots from such contaminants, specific mats that can catch such pesticide/fertilizer dust when you are leaving this zone, etc., would work.
