on page 483 table 1 is a Standard VOC limits chart. the last date on this is 7/1/08 yet this is LEED for Schools 2009. Is it correct to assume that this chart has not been updated since 2008? And that the limits in some cases had dropped over 300 g/L? Some clerification on this chart or an updated chart would be very helpful. Thank you!

Tyler,First of all for the purposes of LEED the VOC limits from SCAQMD are "frozen," per the credit requirements, at the current limits as of January 1, 2004. This means that even the updates scheduled for 2008 do not apply to LEED 2009 projects. Anything after January 1, 2004 does not apply to LEED 2009 (it's likely this will change for LEED 2012 fyi).If you are interested, outside of LEED, you can see the most updated version of the table on page 483 here. Also, for LEED 2009 projects SCAQMD rule 1113 is an alternative compliance path to meeting the requirements of the California Department of Health Services Standard Practice for the Testing of Volatile Organic Emissions from Various Sources Using Small-Scale Environmental Chambers. For more information see the Bird's Eye View above. Please let us know if this answered your question.

The information you have noted above seems to contradict what John noted (as shown below) on Aug 18 2011, that “To further confuse things Addenda was released on 4/14/2010 and then updated 11/3/2010 that replaces Table 1. The new table is much easier to understand, though some categories that were in the old table are no longer in the new table.” I posted the question at the bottom of that comment and I’ll post it here as well. Where is the new Table 1 for VOC limits that is noted by John below and is it the current limits we should be working with for LEED Schools 2009 projects?
