I see that "the credit explicitly requires that you survey occupants for a specific 5-day period"; however, what about a 24/7 operation? Should the survey ask for a specific 7-day period, and add the choice of "Not a scheduled workday" so that a respondent can indicate the five days that they worked when they are answering the commute mode questions? Any other survey tips for a 24/7 operation?

Hey Tim - Great question, and great answer. As you've suggested, survey for the full 7-day period and allow respondents to note that X of the 7 days are not scheduled workdays (in contrast to telecommutes, for example). The key here is focus on the credit intent - use a survey to find out how your employees get to and from work, using a one-week period sample to determine their commute methods. Some firms or employees will have a 2 day week, others 7 - what matters is that GBCI understand how many trips are taken and the form those trips take.
Hope that helps,
Dan
