Pursuing Option 2 for this credit, the new version of the form asks for the development density of the surrounding residential zone or neighbourhood.
What tools are available to calculate surrounding density?
We had chosen option 2 because we were not familiar with how development density can be calculated but it seems like we have to do it for option 2 as well. Any help on how this can be calculated? (tools online etc..)

I don't have a great answer to this. In my experience, if you call out an apartment building/complex on your map that clearly meets the density requirement and just enter in a guestimate on the number of units per acre, the reviewers generally don't question it. However, if you are talking about a single-family development or 1-2 story condos that appear questionable, you will need to do a bit more work. In these instances, I use google to map out an acre within the residential area and use the street view function to try to understand how many units or houses are within that acre. I have not found an exact science to this....does anyone have a better method to address this requirement?
