CS-2009 SSc2:Development Density and Community Connectivity

SSc2

We are pursuing option 2. We have no problem to point out a few multi-family houses within 1/2 mile have more than 10 unit per acre. But LEED form asks for development density (units/Acre) of the surrounding residential zone. How do I calculate this? The site has too many single family and multi-family houses within 1/2mile radius and it is overwhelming to identify each one...

I just put "10" in that box on the form. In the vast majority of projects I've looked at for this credit, the area map makes it clear that the density is at least 10 and a precise calculation is not needed. There's no additional points for higher density, so you just need to show that you hit that minimum.

Though, not exactly aligned with the LEED credit requirements, I've used this website to help confirm the project meets the ratio: http://apps.cnt.org/residential-density/  I have also calculated based on one or a few addresses (to hit the minimum threshold).
