In our healtchare project, we have many areas that are designated as places of respite for visitors and staff that vary in size based on square footage. Is the requirement for shaded seating divided up by type of space ie staff, visitor, staff/visitor or is it per indidividual area?

My interpretation is that these sitting areas can be scattered about at the 1 shaded seat per 200 s.f. standard (fourth bullet under requirements). Since this credit is general - open to all building occupants - I don't see where you would have to justify it based on user.
I think that if you are also doing credit SS 9.2 that you would need to justify seats based on that user group.
