Our project (located in Qatar) includes sports pitches which will be flood lit. The sports pitches are located close to the project boundary and as such the light trespass is significantly above the allowable levels stated by LEED (for LZ3). I was wondering whether anyone else has had similar issues with sports pitch flood lighting and achieving this LEED credit? If so, what was your solution to over come this issue? Our control system switches the lighting off between 11pm till 5am but I understand from the manual that we still need to adhere to the trespass requirements regardless.

Wondering if we are missing something (some additional guidance for schools/projects outside of the US/Schools 2009 addenda..?).

Many thanks!
