Pilot-Credits IPpc90:Social equity within the operations and maintenance staff

Social Equity within the Project Team (Option 1)

Is there a reason why this pilot program for IPpc90 references social equity within the operations and maintenance staff and not social equity within the project team?

Our project appears to comply with Option 1.

As a Washington state project with state funding, the contractor is required to hire at the state prevailing wage for all contracts. The state prevailing wage is higher than the prevailing wages determined by the Federal Davis-Bacon Act. As interpreted, this means that our project is likely to meet the 60% or more of the construction value requirement for option 1.

Additionally, all sub-contractors hired also have qualifying apprenticeship programs.

It appears that we are likely to maintain option 1 criteria.

Are there other states, or projects who have been able to document this credit due to state funding that prioritizes prevailing wage, and apprenticeships?

Atlas - I noticed this too.  It seems to be listed differently on the LEED website - I originally found the O&M link, but now I can't find that, just the "project team" version.  I see this was discussed elsewhere on the LEEDuser website (Registering for the Pilot Credit | LEEDuser (buildinggreen.com)) , but it doesn't seem like it has been truly resolved.  my assumption is that this was a mistake, and the Social Equity on the Project Team is still open.

Hi! This error must have something to do with the API between the USGBC website and the LEEDuser website. We import the credit numbers, names, and language directly from them (and there was just an import today, so re-trying won't fix this). I can edit the credit title, but it will just revert back at the next import.... I'll see if IT can puzzle this out—but I suspect it's happening because of a duplicate number on USGBC's part. You can see on their site that the v2009 O+M pilot credit titled Social equity within the operations and maintenance staff has the same number (IPpc90).

OK, we were able to update the mapping behind the scenes, so this should stop being an issue. We'll double check it after the next addenda and import.

The issue hasn't been resolved yet. It is still listed as "IPpc90 Social equity within the operations and maintenance staff" on LEEDuser.com.   Also, if I log into USGBC, go to "IPpc90 Social equity within the project team" pilot credit and try to select the Forum button, I get an "Access Denied You are not authorized to access this page" message.

We recently implemented the Social Equity within the Project Team pilot credit (IPpc90) for our project, and it has been a transformative experience. This credit focuses on promoting social equity by ensuring fair treatment, access, and opportunities for all members of the project team. By adopting this credit, we were able to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment, which not only enhanced team collaboration but also contributed to the overall success of our project.

Having previously implemented the Social Equity within the Project Team pilot credit (IPpc90), we’ve seen firsthand the positive impact it can have on team dynamics and project outcomes. Building on that experience, we’ve chosen to apply the credit again for our current project. Its emphasis on fairness, accessibility, and opportunity for all team members.
