How does one go about documenting a skylight under the Low-Emitting Materials credit in V4.1? The glass portion, the overwelming majority of the assembly is glass, so inherently non-emitting. There is factory painted wood trim around the glazing, how does that portion get represented? If there is no VOC emissions cert for the paint they used (need to check that) does it mean the assembly is non-compliant?
Thanks in advance

I believe the paint falls under the Paints and Coatings category. And if there is no VOC emissions evaluation certification, then you are not 100% compliant in the Paints and Coatings category; but may still get by if it is less than 75% of all paints and coatings, by volume or surface area. (I know - ouch).
You will NOT need to meet the VOC limits, as it was factory-applied.

Deborah, I'm curious why the paint would be moved to paints and coatings, since that applies to site-applied wet products? Couldn't it be treated as one non-compliant layer (paint) and one inherently inert layer (if raw wood) or non-compliant (if comp wood)?

Laurie,
You are correct. I goofed. Paints and coatings that are applied off-site are exempt.
