I have a project in which a level is being added to an existing building on a university campus. We are treating the addition as a new building for LEED purposes (i.e. the LEED Project Site Area is isolated to the new addition and excludes the building below and its surrounding property). All access to the new addition is via the existing building below.

1. Will existing "No Smoking" signage at the existing building entrances and exits be sufficient, or will additional new signage be required at the (internal) entry points to the new addition?

2. The entries to the addition are much more than 7.5 m (25') from the existing building entrances and exits. Presumably this means that the "No Smoking" signage already in place at those existing building entrances and exits need not be updated to indicate "No Smoking within 7.5 m"?
