Hello, I have a query.
In the Walkable Streets Prerequisite, specifically at point C.
"C. Continuous sidewalks or equivalent all-weather routes for walking are provided along both sides of 90% of the circulation network block length within the project, including the project side of circulation network bordering the project. Bicycle- and pedestrian-only paths meet this requirement. New sidewalks must be at least 8 feet (2.5 meters) wide on retail or mixed-use blocks and at least 4 feet (1.2 meters) wide on all other blocks."
About the width of the streets:
In a project there is a one-way sidewalk that is 1 meter wide and the other sidewalk that goes from 2.5 meters to 5 meters wide.
On one side of the sidewalk the compliance of the minimum 1.2 meters is verified with a clearance of more than 1 meter, however the other side does not reach the required width. This is because it was designed so that one of the streets is a single circulation and the other a green corridor throughout the project.
Could the criteria of this project be considered with respect to the width of the sidewalks for the fulfillment of the prerequisite?
