Hello,
In my baseline model, can I show shared walls as exposed to exterior and then in my proposed model treat that wall as a partition?
In other words, do I get to use the energy advantage of a wall that would be an exterior wall if we weren't building next to another location and sharing their wall?
In ASHRAE Appendix G, I don't see this addressed specifically, but it seems philosophically similar to the Exterior Conditions direction in which the baseline and proposed buildings need to show the same shading from adjacent structures and terrain. That leads me to believe that the baseline and proposed should both be modeled with that shared wall.
Any wisdom is appreciated, thanks!

No.
Both models must model the same conditions regarding adjacent conditioned spaces.

Thank you. I wanted a different answer, but I can handle the truth. :)
