My project is a hotel/library/recreation center with patrons that stay for more than ten hours each week. Do I need to survey these guests?

EBOM-v4 EQc10:Occupant comfort survey

Seven Point Scale for Occupant Comfort Survey

Hello, 

In the LEEDuser's viewpoint section it says that the survey must use a seven point scale, but in the reference guide it says that it "should" have a seven point scale and that it is "recommended". I would like to clarify if the seven point scale is required, or just recommended. Thank you!

Hi Alex, great question. It's a strong recommendation to use a 7-point scale. My understanding is that the credit wont be denied outright for using another scale, but GBCI will include a note asking you to use a 7-point scale next time. You may as well avoid any potential issues that a non 7-point scale may entail from the start, if you can.
