I am seeking clarification on where places of respite for staff and for patients should be located. The credit instructs that the places should be separate, but does not provide information about what that separation should look like.
In my project, there are several roof gardens which are accessible to both staff and patients. If we create regions within each garden, with planted areas and walkways that are accessible only from each user area, would that be considered an acceptable separation?

The Reference Guide does not say any minimum distance.
Imho, the point is not having line of sight from the staff area to the patients area (and viceversa), so that they can relax and forget about their work and treatment. I would also advise to have separate entrances.
