Should sealants that are field applied by the HVAC Contractor be included in the MR credits? Does the sealant fall under Div. 7 or is it considered a Mechanical component, and thus cannot be included for the MR credits?

Since the HVAC engineer specifies this, the product is not in Div 3 - 10 and should now show up in your MRc5 calculations. The sealants applied inside the building will definately show up in your IEQ c 4 credits.

Can anyone else confirm that Susan is correct? My LEED Consultant does not share the same opinion.

Marie:
I agree with Susan. These should show up under IEQc4.1 but be excluded from MRc5. I would think it's such a small amount of material that it wouldn't have any significant impact (positive or negative) on your MR credits.
